Zorbing is getting extremely popular today. Now it even reached the “Heaven”.
The “Heaven” is called a place in Western Caucasus area. It is high in the mountains where a splendid Lago-Naki Plateau, which is a part of the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve, spans an area of more than 700 square kilometers. The plateau is located at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level and is hidden right next to the famous Fisht, Oshten and Pshekha-Su mountains. Lago-Naki is an incredible collection of breathtaking views. Fascinating landscapes, endless sky and crisp mountain air amaze you. You start thinking you are one step away from heaven.
Of course everyone falls in love with such a beauty once they see it. Apparently so did some zorbing-lovers as not for so long ago they brought their zorbs to “Heaven”. Alpine meadows of Lago-Naki seemed to be a perfect cover for zorbing; and striking views turned out to be the greatest surroundings for this activity.
When you see a huge white sparkling sphere with a human-like someone inside, the first thing that comes to your mind is UFO. Illuminated by the sun rays the sphere which is running down the Lago-Naki slopes really makes you think about something extraterrestrial… or something heavenly beautiful.
Zorbing is quite an extreme activity. Zorbing high in the mountains is definitely an extreme one and it suits only some well-fitted, healthy people. Lago-Naki altitude can make your breath short if you are not used to it due to the low atmospheric pressure. Besides this, Lago-Naki highlands are called an “all-weather” place as the weather can change from sunny and quiet to windy and rainy with thunderstorms of even snow within an hour. This means that you can start zorbing with some sun and end up with some hail. Brr…
But zorbers have no tears and they never give up on their hobby, so the weather can’t really scare them. If you go to Lago-Naki you can see zorbers having fun in “Heaven” almost every day. They really look heavenly happy when they come down the slope. Who knows what they see there in heaven… Maybe they find their path to happiness!
